Madurai - temple is covering up
The Meenakshi Temple towers are all being covered in plaited palm leaf as they are about to be painted. The palm leaf is to keep the surface and the painters cool. It wil take a few months to paint from March 2008 to ????. You can still visit and see the inside. Once the painting is finished it will look stunning.
