Madurai and around...
Hi, I'll be in Madurai in May (for a wedding!) and plan to then spend 2-3 days around. Any advice? what can I see in this area?

Madurai,Meenakshi Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Mahal worth to see.Around Madurai all temples, like day trips.
Thirupparankunram ,Azhagar Koil .
You can try Kodaikkanal also as one day trip.

Don't miss the "rockcut" temple, Thirupparankunram, just 8 km outside of town. Munnar is a 5 hr drive (one way) from Madurai, and Thekaddy is about a 4 hr drive. The Hotel Supreme has excellent food, especially their dosas.
