I have a confirmed booking in Sterling Resorts Ooty, Tamilnadu from 29th April ’08 - 5th March ‘08.
The resort is located in a very scenic location with an enchanting view of the Western Ghats.

Hi jkrishna, and welcome to IndiaMike. If I may, what is your actual question? The title asks for recommendations re accommodation in Ooty, but you post states you have a confirmed reservation at a scenic location with enchanting views (which sounds suspiciously like an advert)? Just a gentle reminder that the recommendation of services in response to a question is fine - but posting to advertise a business is not. I'm sure you can understand there are good reasons for this.

Also - I've removed you phone number (this is to ensure you personal number doesn't end up with telemarketers - you can still receive information here in the thread). Thanks for your help with this.

I suspect that maybe Mr jkrishna owns a timeshare slot (Sterling is timeshare company) and wants to pass it on.

If this is the case, I don't know if our rules allow it or not!

Perhaps Mr jkrishna could clarify his position?

Hi Nick,
yes i do own a timeshare slot....and due to unavoidable reasons am not able to make it to ooty during that time.
So just looking if someone is interested in the same.
Sorry if the advert is against the policy of this site.
Can you be kind enuf to guide me with other sites for such postings?

Well, we have a rule against commercial activity, and a ban on travel agents.

We don't have a classifieds section, where this would fit, but I suggest we leave it here. If we start to get flooded with such ads then we will revise!

You had better post an email address, but please use someone at somwhere dot com format if you do not want heaps of spam.

Bear in mind that you are still making public information available to the world.
