Kodaikanal (Kodai)

I have visited Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, and it was a beautiful place. There is so much to see, places to hike to and the views are awesome. I would like to hear more of what others think about this place. I realize it is a touristy spot for Indians, and gets busy ect, but what about the tips of the hills, and tucked away waterfalls?

It's magic once you get out into the countryside. I was lucky enough to get permission to go into Berijam Lake a few years back and stay in the Forestry Department bungalow. The sholas and cloud forests up on the hilltops were wonderful, although those stands of eucalyptus they insist on planting everywhere are pretty grim and gummy.
