Kodaikanal - best time?
Hello
My friend and his wife wish to visit kodai kanal for 3-4 days (to relax after exam, they are medicos). they are planning to reach there around 20th october, I suggested Villa retreat (villaretreat.com ) as accomodation option as i have seen the property, It got exellent views and near coaker's walk. Villa retreat gave package of Rs. 3990/- for 3nts inclusive of taxes and Rs. 250/day meal credit. is this the right season to visit kodai??, or should there be other better place to visit, the stay could be 4-5 days and the purpose is to relax... pls suggest Kashyap

October is fine if it is for relaxation. Might try Munnar in Kerala (it is a hill station) too. It is (or atleast was) a pretty nice place to relax

It is cool but I guess with the Low pressure in Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, it might be wet. But I love getting myself wet (provided I have a way to dry myself before I get to bed). If your friends don't mind a bit rain it is fine.
Yup it would be comparitively cooler and as for romance I guess it is from the heart and not necessarily the place ![]() |

weather will be nice/romantic, but then if they are planning to visit the tourist points then be prepared for the huge rush.. spending hours in the vehicle for the queue to inch forward. It seems to me that whole of Tamil Nadu comes to Kodaikanal every weekend.. to go thru those spots again and again.
If they just gonna stay in their room or probably go for a walk around the lake. then its good. Otherwise Munnar is like heaven.. (at least that's what i have heard). Highly recommended. |
