Karthigai Deepam
Hi
Can anyone confirm that the Karthigai Deepam festival in Tiruvannamalai is happening from 24th Nov to 5th Dec this year please? Also does anyone have previous experience of the festival that they could tell me about? I have never been to anything like this before and would love to hear what it was like and also about the practicalities, such as just how busy it was and if accomodation/transport is an issue at festival time. anyone know when does Karthigai Deepam festival in Tiruvannamalai occur this year? tried the link attched but it seems that nothing is told about the dates.
I will be in tiruvannamalai on 6 and 7 november 2007, does anybody know if it is festival period and thus if it is necessary to provide with a reservation? tx a lot max |

Here is what i have been told by Tiruvannamalai Net.com
Dear massimiliano altabella, The karthigai depam festival starts on November 14th and ends on November 24th. November 24 is the Karthigai deepam festival final day when light will be lit in the Hill. Thanks Aravindh unfortunately I won't be there at that time...  |
