thanks, capt! I guess that answers my question. I read a thread here from 2005 and the person liked it. so apparently it's gone down hill -- a lot!

reviews of anything always amaze me because someone can really hate it and someone else really loves it. so they both can't be accurate, you have to find that middle ground!
I will use this thread as a request to our esteemed membership... ...when you get back from your trips, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write a review for our hotel section. The hotel section is the first place I go to when I'm planning my trips, unfortunately, many of the hotel listings are quite old. thanks again, capt! I found the northgate website on that thread and took merchant's advice...with his indian travel he's very knowledgeable about hotels....off topic -- I miss merchant! |

Yes, reviews are funny things. Lot to do with the customer's expectations, actually.
I once paid 250 for a room in the hills, found it was much better than I expected, and raved about it. My cousin went a month later from Delhi and came back cursing ![]() |
