Help - rain!
I'm travelling to Chennai on Saturday and just looked at the weather for Southern India. It's covered in monsoons!
Should I pack a raincoat or just an umbrella? Is the rain in showers or full on for ages? Do I need waterproof shoes or are flip flops ok? Also, we were planning on doing a U-shaped trip down the Madurai and up to Ooty, then to Bangalore for the flight out but we haven't booked anything and were playing it by ear. Is it worth changing the route so that we still end up in Bangalore but avoid more of the bad weather? Maybe by going north instead? Thanks in advance for your advice. |

If only anybody knew!
There hasn't been much rain yet, but then it was a rather wet late summer. What's it like? Anything from a quick shower to wading through a couple of feet of water with all the dangers of doing that. Here's a good site to watch
