Good plan or not - Bangalore - Mudumulai - Hill Station - Chennai

Hi!

We are in the planning stage of our next trip to India in February 09.

We will be travelling with our girls (then 6 and 9 - and not for the first time in India ;-) ) and my mum (age 65).

Would like to hear your opinion about our plan:
after some days in Pune
* train to Bangalore and Mysore
* 2 nights in Mysore (relaxing, zoo ....)
* 4 nights/days in the Mudumulai NP

and then??? back to Mysore and night-train to Chennai
* 7 nights in Mallapuram

OR
* to Ooty or???
* by train (small train)? or car? to Coimbatore - would like to hear your suggestions??
* train from Coimbatore to Chennai
* 6 nights in Mallapuram

I think the second version would be the interesting one, because we will see another part of the country (otherwise it's the same way back from Mudumulai NP)

Hi nora
After your stay in madumalai proceed to ooty and take a toy train to matupalyam, from their you have to take a bus to combature. You have plenty of trains from combature to chennai.
