Dance festivals
If anyone is in the Madurai area there is an Indian dance festival being held at the Meenakshi temple. Tonight (Feb. 9) was the first performance, and it goes most of the month. This is mostly Bharata Natyam. There will be another festival held in Chidambaram starting on March 8th. I caught the last night of the Mamallapuram festival last month and it was very good. To be able to see these performances in a temple setting is very unique.
