I am coming from banglore ......now iam in coimbatore....day after tomorrow i want to visit guruvayoor temple.....any good information about route and special dharshsn in temple

Day after tomorrow (06-12-2011) Ekadasi Vilakku festival is celebrating in Guruvayoor temple………….

On Ekadasi day, the Udayasthamana Pooja (continuous pooja) is conducted by the Devaswom itself . After the morning seeveli, on Ekadasi there is a grant elephant procession to the Parthasarathi temple since it is regarded as Geethopadesam Day also. On Ekadasi after night pooja the famous Ekadasi Vilakku with elephant procession takes place and provides a fitting finale to the festival.

1) So, tomorrow you can reach Guruvayoor at 8.00 pm itself. So you have chance to attend SEEVELI
POOJA at 3 am to 7 am.

2) Accommodation facility is available in Guruvayoor Devaswom and some private hotels are available
near the temple such as Sri Gokulam Vanamala, Rajavalsam Guruvayoor, Veeramani hotel etc..

3) You can present a bunches of bananas to temple Elephants

4) Most of the people are coming from different states for Ekadasi Vilakku festivel in Guruvayoor.
And Sabarimala seasons are started. so More rush will be on that day. so you can buy tickets
for special entrance
