Hi Cinciboy,

Almost all places in Kodai are fine to take kids along. Just be a little cautious near Pillar Rock and Suicide Point. If you plan to allow your kids to cycle around the lake, which is usually done,I suggest you also join them and guide them in a single row. The cyles are available on hire.

check out the below weblink for more info on the places to visit.

Hi ,

The weather would be perfect during the time of your visit. September and first week of October would be great and then the rains would start. Just pack a couple of foldable umbrellas along with your baggage just to ward off the odd drizzle.

The Kodai home made chocolates would be great and your children will like it. You can locate the store in the downtown market street.

Kodai cheddar cheese, home made jams and home made dark roast peanut butter are also good buys.

Yes most likely it would rain. Its better to carry some foldable umbrellas. If u r staying at the Carlton or Club Mahindra resorts, they would give you spare umbrellas otherwise it is better to carry your own.

If you forget to take an umbrella, Im sure you will be able to buy a cheap umbrella at Kodai. In winter, there is always plenty of cheap winter wear sold by umpteen street vendors, so likewise there are bound to be cheap raincoats / umbrellas available in the rainy season.

Enjoy your visit. I love Kodai ........
