chennai to colombo by ship

I want to travel by passenger ship from chennai to colombo.
1.where to get tickets from chennai to colombo ship journey?
2. How much it costs?

There was a ferry between tuticorin and Srilanka which was started and stopped due to operational losses after few runs 2-3 months back.

Today in Regional newspaper, I read, India and Srilanka inviting options from shipping companies who own ships(with < 500 Travel capacity ) as the initial run from "Nova Scotia" ran into financial troubles as it is of "2000 people" capacity.

In Short, there is no ferry available between Tamilnadu and colombo as of today.
