chennai-kanchipuram-vellore by bus one day trip

hello all,

I am a new comer.i already saw some postings on my query but had a few doubts.

Is a one day trip from Chennai-Kanchi-Vellore-Chennai possible by bus? i believe these are the imp temples to visit in Kanchipuram.

Kamakshi amman Temple,Egaambareswarar temple, Varadharaja Swamy,temple,Kailasanathar Temple

Also kindly let me know important places in Vellore besides the golden temple..

Plesa send me a reply soon as I am plannng to travel tomorrow.

Also, is Vellore close from Pondicherry? in case we go to Pondicherry and then to Vellore, will it be fruitful?

You cannot complete Kanchi and Vellore in One day. Travelling from kanchi to Vellore and dharshan at the golden temple would take you half a day. Instead you can visit Sriperumbudur Temple on your way back or enroute.

There are beautiful temples in kanchi and you can spend about an hour in each temple to admire the architecture and have dharshan in a relaxed way.

Certainly you cannot Club Pondy also. No way.

Will Vellore and Sriperumbudur work out in a day as I have already visited the main shrines in Kanchipuram a few years back, so thought of going to a place that i have not seen....

Hi Prs,

Yes itwould work within a day. Start early from Chennai, Visit the Adikesvaperumal Temple at Sriperumbudur and then proceed to Sripuram Golden temple and then Vellore Fort and return to Chennai.

Thanks for you reply. We are back from the trip, thought we would take time and see the places. So could cover only Vellore.
