Chennai and... help me for a 10 days itinerary in sept.

I am planning my trip for several months now, everything ( thanks to IM) was planned from Kolkata to Bodhgaya, Varanasi and Sarnath, hotels,trains, guide....

To make a long story short... I am not alone anymore

And my GF don't seems attracted by my northwestern first choice.

So Help me please to reschedule my trip, we arrive in Mumbai next week (3 sept) for 10 days.
so we are going to south India Chennai in Tamil nadu or maybe Kerala ???

I try to find an itinerary that can be done at a slow peaceful pace... do you know romantic place by the sea or in the countryside .

What I am trying to do, with your help, is to give her the envy to get back again in India.

Yes, Nick, since the first post I have read many threads that show how Kerala might be a very good choice.
Is Fort cochin the best entrance to Kerala?
Do you have any unforgettable place, visit, hotel or GH to recommend?

If you are rich, look at the resorts operated by Casino Group (I think their website is cgearth something).
