Best place for New Years Eve?

Trying to decide whether to be in Varkala or Kanyakumari for New Years Eve?
Any advice?

I was in Varkala for New Year and it was very good. There was a lot of entertainment to choose from and a real party atmosphere. Would advise you to book a room as far ahead as possible though.
I was in Kanyakumari for Christmas Eve and left Christmas morning. To tell the truth I did the 'sights' and could have left the same day, so not top of my list of fave places.
For a party - Varkala!
