Bangalore to/from Palani

Hi Friends,

I plan to visit Palani next month with my family & as train tickets have a long WL to both Dindigal & Coimbatore i am looking at Sleeper bus as an alternate.

1.Can you pls suggest any sleeper bus to/from Palani to Blore ? (KPN seem to have only seater one)

2.I do have an option to book sleeper bus to Dindigal from Blore but not in the reverse direction i.e from Dindugal for some reason.I have tried online booking with both KPN & Kallada.Any other bus companies that operate frequently in this route?

Other options you can try is...

Option 1
You can travel upto Salem and from there you have a lot of buses to Palani

Option 2
You can travel upto Karur and from there you have a lot of buses to Palani

Option 3
You can travel upto Bhavani and from there you have a lot of buses to Palani

I think there should be a good amount of buses to Karur and Salem from Bangalore. You can try the above mentioned routes in reverse also.

Hi Ram,

As Far as I know, Sleeper buses are rare in that circuit !

Did you checked "Day time" Trains between Bangalore and Erode ? From Erode , Palani is around 100 kms and no need to go till Coimbatore [ Again Coimbatore is again 100 kms from Erode] !


And Direct Buses from Bhavani or Salem or Karur To Palani is Very Rare .Buses are highly frequent to Palani From Madurai / Dindugal and Coimbatore and from Erode there are hourly buses to Palani .

P.S:- Even though you might have searched with all options in Trains, Could you specify your date of travel and Class or even a PM will do. Just I will do a Search Again !
