Bangalore-Tiruvanamali-Villupuram-Kanchi (ONE DAY TRIP)

Just now we some of the freinds here decided to visit Tiruvanamalai, Villupuram (Golden temple) & Kanchi (Kamakshi temple) starting Bangalore on this 20th sunday by Tempo traveller.

Can somebody please let us know whether the above places can be covered in 'one-day' trip & if so provide us the route details.

Any suggestions are also solicited with must visit of Villupuram Golden temple

Thanks to one and all

Well these three together in a day would be quite hectic the best way would be to cjoose two arrive villupuram in the morning and leave for either Tiruvannamalai or Kanchi in the afternoon. Kanchi has several temples while Tiruvanamali has one main temple. It would be better to leave Kanchi for some other Weekend Trip.

Hi jay,
Is it villipuram or sripuram golden temple ?
I dont think it is worth doing kanchi, sripuram and t.v.malai in one day. You can do either kanchi-sripuram or t.v.malai-sripuram in one day.

Hi Jay,

As Gaurav mentioned clubbing all the three places in one day is not quite possible.

Moreover , Golden Temple is not in Villupuram, but about 7 kms from Vellore.

If you have two days, you can finish Golden Temple and Tiruvanmalai in one day and halt at Kanchipuram for the night. Start early on Sunday for the Temple visits and wind up around 2 PM. Have lunch and leave for Bangalore.

Though there are hundereds of temples in Kanchi, some of the important ones are Kamakshi Temple. Ekambaraeswarar temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple and Kailasanathar Temple.

@ Kumar - Hi, Thanks for your response. Yes you are right! Sripuram I mean. Though already seen this Golden temple twice, I was under little bit confusion the names with villupuram & sripuram . As you suggested, we are going to narrow down to just two places likely Kanchi & Sripuram.

@ Raghu - Hi, Thanks you too for the response. Well noted the contents. At the moment, some of my freinds who are coming from my native, they are unable to spare one more day & so we are restricting to one day trip only for Kanchi & Sripuram. Thanks for the link of Kanchi.

Wish you all Happy nice weekend & holidays!

Hi jay,
If you can be at kanchi by 10.30 am, as raghu mentioned you can visit the 4 major temples and then visit golden temple on your way back to bangalore, probably arriving late night.

Thanks Kumar,

We had a trip & it was ok but unfortunately we missed Golden temple visit due to itz timing restriction. Temple closes at 8.0pm. Some of my freinds who were visiting for the first time felt very bad for missing the same.

We are going to re-plan it once again may be in well organised manner!

By the time we reach Sripuram from Kanchi it was 8.05pm. Golden temple doors were closed just at that time around 8.0pm it seems. So, we could not enter temple premises & came back empty hand with lot of disappoint.

Mine was ok as I have already seen twice but felt sorry for my freinds who came from my native.
