Rock climbers?? Are you out there???

My rock climbing partner is coming to meet me here in India soon, and I was wondering are there any climbers out there? and if so where are you climbing? I know hampi boasts great bouldering, but thats the only place i've heard of so far. I have been here for two months and haven't met any climbers nor have I been able to coax information about rock climbing in India from anyone. But I am itching to climb, it's almost unbearable. : )
Would love any info, even the smallest advice. I am beginning to worry that it's going to be awhile before I climb. mostly what i am lloking for is bouldering, i didn't bring any gear besides my shoes, but if there is any sport or trad i can have my partner come prepared. - kate

Thumbs up Rock climbing

I used to do it 15 years ago.

After three operations on my entire right side, its not possible any longer.

I know the local rock climbers, can put you across to them when you come.

I still go as "support team" on some tough climbs .... to carry the water and food for the lead climbers

Hampi is certainly the best known. Badami isn't too far away. South India is loaded with granite boulders
