Rahul Dravid announces his retirement
Good Bye Legend; you will find lot other ways to serve cricket; and will excel there as well.

Read the following write-up by Akash Chopra:
A cricketer most evolved
I like most the following part. How true it is!

Rahul Dravid was felicitated by the BCCI in Mumbai yesterday. A number of present & former cricketers were present, but, Sachin was missing. No message from him either and Rahul did not mention Sachin also.
Looks like there was some animosity between them. Maybe it had to do with that Test match in Pakistan?
What a difference between Rahul's praise for his team mates, especially Kumble, VVS, Saurav & Dhoni & Sachin's interview. Very unlike the selfish Sachin who did not mention his team mates on Sunday.
Cheers

Check the couple of articles on Dravid's felicitation ceremony -

Te first one is what the current and ex-teammates said about him and the second link is what he said in his speech.
Nice ones!
EDIT - Sachin was a no-show and Dravid also didn't mention Sachin once in his speech.

Saugata, I think you pasted the link of the same page twice by mistake. Rahul's speech is here. Read both the articles...both are fascinating. I had also read the Bradman Oration which Rahul gave in Australia, and I must say, he can do an equally good job as an orator. I just sincerely hope that the future doesn't see him showing the same interest in IPL/T20 and test cricket, like Gavaskar or Ravi Shastri.
