Mirza's decision not to play in India

What do you think?

I think it's very sad for such talented player to come to a stage where she is forced to make such decision in her life because of few.

Story here at BBC Sports.

I thought she just said Bangalore, not India?

At least the local papers reported that this morning.

it does seem sometimes that she gets singled out a lot by critics, media, politicians, etc. I think she has been playing some fantastic tennis lately.

Judging by prashant's link, what she is doing is just not cricket.

or even tennis.

It's a sticky issue and as usual (especially tennis) all about money & ego. In this case is seems like Bhupathi is the fly in the ointment here operating both as her manager and as a recently shafted tournament organizer of this event.

Based on her past performance at this particular event, the only things that will suffer from this decision is Mirza's tennis skills and that rare, golden opportunity to impress a large cross-section of future Indian tennis players.
