oh well.

Delhi did well I thought to restrict Kolkata to just 134 - but then they completely self destructed in the batting. What a revelation Shoaib turned out to be (after such a long period without any cricket he didn't show any lack of match fitness at all)! And then the rest of the Kolkata bowlers joined in on the act - not to mention some outstanding fielding.

I don't think Delhi will be happy with their performance as 135 wasn't an impossible task - and it seems like in the end they just failed to put bat on ball, get the 1s and 2s needed to keep the score ticking over. Good win Kolkata.

law of averages really -
shewag/gambhir can score most of the time - not all of the time.
we'll meet you again devils!

ok somnath and mousourik - i have been carefully noting something:
somnath: you have got to come online somewhere in the middle of a KKR match and write something here... as you have been doing for the past two matches
mousourik: rattle off a poem!
as for me: i've been following the last 3 matches on my comp - i aint going back to watching tv - whatever it takes

gee - shashank, missed eden - but anything for my team... will stick onto my laptop
missed the roars whilst shoaib took them wickets one after another - like i said, whatever it takes

now for my well well deserved

:brishti

[ g'nite bb! till the next match... ]

lil bit of trivia:
shoaib has declared that kolkata is as much his home and that he would give his all and then some for the KKR - because Sharukh Khan and Ganguly steadfastly supported him through his banned days.
will try and fish the link out sometime tomorrow - too excited now to google

Thumbs up Kkr...kkr...kkr...kkr...kkr... kkr...kkr...kkr...

What a performance !!!!!!! What a performance !!!!!!!
Just look at every aspect of the match…. Only one thing was short and that’s run but what a fight…. Come on KKR – we are proud of you guys.

Shoaib is the star of today’s show and good support from just everyone. Brilliant fielding – disciplined bowling – intelligent wicketkeeper – and enthusiast King: Shah Rock Khan.

and a good night to you to brishti - a fine win by a fine team (now I'm off to do something completely unrelated to cricket - possible for the next several months...)

I think the Delhi batsman didn't have a clue what they were doing. They were trying to make shots when it was not required, they simply needed to stay there and score normally. Scoring at 6 an over would have taken to a position where they would have needed 50 odd in last 6-7 overs.

They didn't had a clue about their running, was sad to see the running between the wickets, few run outs were called for, if not for DD poor running, but KR's excellent throwing.

Regarding the KKR's bowler, only Shoaib did a good job, rest was their fielding and self destruction by DD...

Bombaiyer Bombete
Get ready today
Jatayu-Feluda-Topshe (read John-Sourav-Shoaib)
Bomb u out at Wankhere

p.s. for non-bengalis : "Bombaiyer Bombete" (Villains of Bombay) is a story by Satyajit Ray, cinematised by his son Sandip Ray; Feluda is a private investigator who prefers using "magajastro" (brain) to bullets, Topshe his cousin and Jatayu - the pen-name of his writer friend.
