A thread like International Cricket thread where Club Team Cups as also Country Team Cups can be discussed pre event, during event and also future events . The idea is to have an active platform like the World Cup Threads! If such a thread already exists then the leaders can merge the threads!

Currently Champions League Qualifications and Spanish Super Cup are trending in the football world!

No I could not see the match. I am more interested in E/BPL than the Spanish League since the telecast time is during the evenings.

In Bombay, at least on TataSky, Man City v. Liverpool is on Star Sports 1 (channel 403) and Star Sports HD 1 (413) (both 00.15-02.30 IST)

Star Sports 2 (404) and Star Sports HD 2 (414) has La Liga Rayo, Madrid v. Cordoba (23.30-01.20), followed by Valencia v. Athletico Madrid (01.20-03.30)

Then it would be Star Sports 1. May be I will watch the match for some time.

I am upset with Man U. Buggers lost their opening match and drew the second one. They were to have the easiest first 5 games compared to the other top clubs.

I don't really support any one team in the BPL but I have the softest spot for Liverpool. Must be a legacy hangover of my return to England from India in the mid to late seventies, as Liverpool is farthest from where I live and Arsenal is the closest. My sis' two boys support Liverpool and Man U individually and she wants to support both to be neutral. I still don't know which she REALLY supports.

Well classic Liverpool teams of that late 60's and 70's era, and managers, Shankly, Paisley, and European success as well - blazing the way. Great football with trad wingers that others in England really took years to deal with or catch up to...

Mike Summerbee, Franny Lee, Colin Bell and Tony Book are the MC names i remember most from that era, under Joe Mercer as manager, they also won the European Cup winner's cup.

all for Liverpool tonight though, and i sincerely hope that sans Suarez (thank goodness) they're not too diminished
