| Hi, I'm staying in Mandrem, north Goa, near Arambol. I've been looking to study martial arts in Goa - with no luck. I especially want to study an "internal art" - one centered on energy and not force, and which builds from a center of spirituality and philosopy. I've studied a little Wing Chun, a little Tae Kwon Do, and a little Silat. Silat suited me best because it was a poetic and graceful, but explosive and dynamic, style. Very practical for spiritual development, self-defense, and health. A small school or private teacher would be best. No disrespect, but not looking for assembly line karate classes. Anyone know any teachers? If not in Goa, I may be traveling to other parts of India, most probably Rishikesh. Anyone know any teachers anywhere else? Thanks, guys. Kion |

| You must research into Kalaripayattu. Some site you can check.. http://www.kalaripayattu.org/ http://kalari-koeln.de/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalaripayattu I am not sure, if you can get the same in North India, however Kerala is the treasure trove and home of Kalaripayattu.
