This commendable victory should not go into their heads.Indians should perform better in the next 2 test and bring Aussies to their feet.As for the Aussies, they have always been bad losers.

Unhappy Its not a war

Its only sports and not war.

Quote:
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Indian fans and journalists were being called "coolies" and "curry munchers" at the Adelaide Oval and in Brisbane.
An Indian executive, who has works in Melbourne, said for the first time in his 15 years in Australia, he feared for his safety as he left Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
Aussies are sport-loving and cultured people. Where have the sprits gone??

There was a memo circulated around the Australian squad about a month ago which said 'Chaps, we hade better let these curry munchers get close to winning at least one of the tests, they haven't even come close since '82 and they are talking about leaving their bats at home and only playing people they think they have a chance of beating, such as the Poms'.

So you see sometimes even the Australians make a mistake, maybe its something to do with others using the insulting 'Aussie' label?

earlier I was not sure if aussies were amateur or immature…but now I know….i think ‘sportsmanship’ as a word does not exist in their dictionary…anyways I love Australia for its natural beauty…like Indians always say ‘win the world by love, kindness and politeness’, I guess when I go to visit aussie…these qualities will help them learn about their deficiencies.

Stop the flame, pls!

Whenever there are sport events, incidents such as this are
bound to happen. They should not be taken seriously.
And, since when do one or two Jerks in a crowd represent one entire nation?

the finalists included six white men who had painted their skin brown and worn nappies and turbans to resemble Mahatma Gandhi.
I found this hilarious. Would love to see some pics.

The Indian fans are no better either. I was at the Cricket sixes once and the Indians were the worst behaved. they cannot handle their booze and tend to get very obnoxious at times.

You have to expect the media to be insensitive. From us here in Aus: Congratulations India. You deserved the win, and have made watching Test matches all that more enjoyable for making it less predictable. For my part, I cheered when India won. Hope it will also be a close game next time!

Hi Concoran I agree with you....its a sports events...and just because there were few jerks in a crowd, one should not label an entire nation to be bad. I just got carried away reading the inciteful writing on Times Of India.
Hi Oldhippie
Indians can be obnoxious...you are right...I had a little experience of it when I visited India recently...again these were only one or two elements...majority of the people I met were so nice and polite and humble that I did not even give a second thought to the few bad apples...and the same thoght process should be applied to other societies unless they perpetually prove to be wrong..which I doubt would be the case with majority of the people in the world.......

The Aussies are a great team and this victory was a pleasant surprise. This Indian team has the batting line-up to make it an interesting series - now we wait for our most famous batsman to find his true touch and give Waugh and his boys a tough time.

However this victory has given one important messsage to journalists on both sides -

Don't even think of writing this team off! They can fight - it doesn't matter if they win or lose but they will not give up.

You lot have got to be joking - the Aussies are really proving to the world what a sorry, racist folk they are.

They need to stop living in the dark ages and get real.

The rest of the world should not have to put up with their insular, jingoistic rubbish.

Australians are real heroes - not.

Got beat in the Rugby World Cup by England and lets hope India give Australia a beating in the cricket.

Makes the blood boil - where's my chillum?

I am very much against that kind of discriminatory policy……today’s villain can be tomorrow’s hero….and vice versa….
I guess as India progresses and gains a status….a reverse application of these policies may help them…like a reverse tit for tat…
All is fair in politics , love and war
