What a day in the history of test cricket today is!!!
At MCG, three highest run scorers in the history of the game playing in the same match.
If we consider the other match being played between SL and SA, once Mahela scored his 10000th run, it is for the first time 5 players with more than 10000 test runs are on field on the same day.

Good spot!
This match (Ind Vs Aus) is shaping up nicely for a good finish. Let's see how India respond on 2nd day

India has responded reasonably well and hopefully they can get some sort of lead.
Sachin played another gem of an innings and it was a pity he fell at the end of the days play.
Aust media bleating about the Hussey & Cowan dismissals and the non dismissal of Dravid when bowled of a No ball, no mention of Haddins plumb LBW not given the day before.
The way Hussey carried on when walking back to the dressing Room was pretty ordinary,If an Indian batsman behaved in a similar manner you'd never hear the end of it.
Looking forward to tomorrow.

And we should NOT forget the decision mightmares in the last series down under in 2008. They never complained when they won the Sydney Test.Sachin's innings was special today. Many Sachin fans will not regret his missing the 100th ton if he keeps on producing such masterclasses frequently. I believe today he kept aside his mental attachment to the demanding pressure from the fans regarding this 100th 100 and he showed why he is considered to be the best in business.
Tomorrow's first session will be crucial for both the teams. We surely have a cracking game at our disposal.
No mention of Dravid
??? Ofcourse it seemed as though he wasn't well settled at times, but his presence gives us a sense of stability, doesn't it?
So, any guess about this match's outcome? Me thinks - a draw

Indian media bleats even more strongly when Indian batsmen are given out wrongly, and they also remain silent when opposition team's batsmen are given out wrongly!

I think Australia is going to win this one. India is always a poor chaser in 4th innings. And looking at how they choked in the 3rd day morning, i am pretty sure that they will start the 2nd test being 0-1 down in the series.

Eventhough Dravid dropped a Sitter of Hussey, India are still in this.
Aust are 8 wkts down with a lead of 220 with 2 full days to go.
India need to wrap up the Aust innings pretty quickly tomorrow morning.
New young bowler Yadav has once again done well.
BTW, Hussey has been around long enough to know that in Cricket there is bad luck and Good luck, he has had more Good luck in this game than bad,He should have been LBW earlier according to replays.

Great day of Test match cricket - it is alive and well, thank you.
Two days to go and we will have a decision as long as rain keeps away.
It has been a see-saw battle, as soon as one team gets the upper hand, the other team snatches it back.
The 1st half-hour tomorrow is crucial. If Australia can score heavily with 2 wickets remaining (Mitch Johnson the batsman is being missed, although Pattison can clobber a few good ones), they could set India 250+ to win with plenty of time. I don't think the Aussies have the spinners to cause havoc and VVS must be wanting to redeem himself at the MCG which is the only Australian ground that he has not played well.
Pontu & Hussey have secured their place for the rest of this series, I would think. It will bne interesting who gets dropped once Whatto is fit - could be Marsh with Pontu back at #3.
The Indian pacers have bowled rather well, just given too many runs in the process.
Exciting final 2 days.
I'll be off to Kolkata on Friday afternoon for a meetup - my first one there and long overdue. Somnath & Calcuttan have been most helpful. Looking eagerly forward to it and the New Years celebration on Park Street - hope it will be fun.
Cheers

Had fun watching today's play. Was a bit disappointed with the way India folded so quickly in the morning. But the way they bowled was superb...match on... India has a good chance to pull this one off. We should get the tail quickly tomorrow morning.

Fingers crossed about cleaning up the last 2 wkts in the morning. They can't afford for Hussey to put on too many more runs.
I hope Dhoni uses the pace attack for the first hour.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
@ Nattu Hope your right about Laxman, his first innings was pathetic taking something like 20 balls to get off the mark. And hope you have a good meetup and have a karti roll for me.
