How can I buy tickets for cricket in October?

Just heard that the aussies will be playing in india around the time I'm there (Oct/Nov), is this right? How do I get tickets?

I've never really been into the cricket, cos I think the Oz cricket team are a pack of , but just recently realised I dont HAVE to go for them just cos I'm australian, so I'm all fired up to cheer for India

Usually tickets are sold only a few days/weeks before the matches. You can buy tickets at the stadium itself or at some retail outlets in the city. At the stadium its too crowded and you'd have to stand in long queues...

Please don't say that, Oz has given some of the best cricketers in the world !! They are the start attraction of the current IPL going on...

I am sure the things will improve after the IPL, it would be better understanding between international players..

Thanks Radjesh!

I know we have some good cricketers, but its kind of like in sports movies, how theres always the underdogs playing against the bigger stronger better but NASTY team - australia are the nastys. Underarm bowling anyone?

But yeah IPL is a good thing - I've even found myself cheering for Warnie and not only for having better understanding between players, but also cos all these awesome players will be learning from each other, so the standard of the game will get even better!

I too will be in Bangalore for the First Test,I am
a big fan for the Curry Munchers and am Hoping for
an Indian Victory.:rof l:

I've got a contact in Bangalore whom I am hoping
can arrange a Ticket for me,if you like I can ask

Cricket in India

Hi Naomi,

No Problemo, Keep in mind though the 2nd test is in Mohali which
If I am not mistaken is in Punjab region and the 3rd test is in
Delhi. As you will be in the North the 2nd & 3rd tests may be more beneficial for you.

But hey, If you need an excuse to get down to Bangalore and
Experience the First test, be my Guest. The First Test in a series
are Usually pretty special as Nobody knows what to expect.

The Bangalore Test starts on the 9th,October.This may give you some time to explore the south whilst in the area.

I know you can return to OZ from Bangalore, Chennai,Cochin or
Trivandrum via Singapore.

Posting another Pic of myself in Full Flight during the Test Match in Perth earlier this year when India had that Great Victory.Took me a couple of days to get over that one.

Vandy is on fire... Nice pics man

Am surprised that Australians are supporting India... Its going to be a real tough series, slightly in India's favor because of the home conditions but who knows what the Austaralians could'nt do..

Mate, I hope Indians win this match, you put our own 'fanatical' followers of the game to shame with your enthusiasm and love for Indian cricket.

Best wishes,

g'day

sorry to drag up an older thread but i've been looking on the net for tickets to the 1st test in bangalore and this popped up. just wondering if you still had a contact that could get 2 tickets for the test, will be arriving in mumbai on the 2nd of oct and going down to bangalore for the cricket before going back up to poona. or if you could point me in the direction to find any online or is it all strictly in person at a ticket office?

Cheers,
baz.

Good Day fellow Sandgroper,

My contact in Bangalore has assured me there will be no problem
purchasing Tickets for the Test match.

I arrive in Bangalore late on 6th,Oct and one of the first things
I will be doing is Getting a Ticket the following day.

Matey, you'll have plenty of time for purchasing Tickets if you can get to Bangalore a few days before the Game starts on the 9th.
