Hippy if you're trying to say what I think you're trying to say I agree with you wholeheartedly ... and it's nothing to do with football.

I love football and will be up at 04:15 in the morning to watch England against France. I agree also agree that India Travel is what this site is about.

I am sorry to say the forum seems to be degenerating at the moment into shallow chit-chat (that we all get dragged into sometimes, me included).

I enjoy the chat to an extent but we should remember that the site is about India Travel and the threads and posts should be constructive and helpful and an easy reference source to search in future. I am sorry to say I am getting annoyed with some of the idle chat that goes on on here

I thought I'd say it before we start having the stupid "I like football" vs "I loathe football" debate. We ended up quarreling over politics and I don't want to see it happen again over Sport.

And yes, come on England!

Absolutely right, rab! We all are guilty of getting carried away with topics which are not strictly related to travel in India.

Once in a while its okay, but recently the forum is being dominated by crap; while good, informative travel related posts seem to either disappear from the "last 50" or find themselves relegated to the last 20 in no time!

Almost 100 elephants have taken part in a football game in India as part of an annual festival aimed at encouraging locals to protect the animals….BBC report

Oh come on:
One wee mention yesterday about being excited about the footie starting even if we're not there and its spawns a thread of its own ...hahahahaha
Hand on heart I will not instigate a footie discussion there are forums for that ...However as for cricket....
Kind of defeating the purpose of the topic of the thread

India have a football team, they just played Japan, no more comment needed there, buy now we can say this thread is India related.

I think we need the thread to be dominated by a few people, we need a good argument (sorry, discussion ), and maybe 50 posts a day in the thread, seems to be the norm these days.

So lets start it off.

seventies'hippy is obviously trying to wind us up with his image of Maradona escaping from the drug clinic.

Does rab pass Norman Tebbit’s test yet?

also rab, as they used to say to Wimbledon's travelling supporter, "whats it like to cheer alone?"

Mahendra United for the cup.
