Gunmen Attack Sri Lankan Cricket Team Bus in Pakistan

From BBC
Quote:
At least five members of the Sri Lankan cricket team have been injured in a shooting incident in the Pakistani city of Lahore, a Sri Lankan minister says.

The incident happened when unidentified gunmen fired on a convoy carrying Sri Lankan and Pakistani cricketers.
So sad, this is not cricket at all!

It is indeed sad for the game of cricket. It also vindicates the stand taken by the authorities in India, South Africa, England and Austrlia not to send their cricket teams to Pakistan.

The latest reports say that all the members of Sri Lankan team are safe and they will return to Sri Lanka by tomorrow.

Sad day indeed for sport.

By the way, you might want to change your link, the one you posted is to a BBC report about why people feel ashamed to be seen naked..!

EDITED TO ADD: I have now found the correct BBC Link for this story.

Well...after 26/11, its really sad that Sri Lankan team is attacked...

Hopefully after this attack...Pakistan gets officially tagged as "TERRORIST NATION"

If not , this will atleast help in isolating Pakistan.

Bad day for Cricket. I dont see any international team touring Pakistan in near future, will be a great loss for the Pakistani fans . Also Srilankan Offcials will face serious questions on why they decided to send their national team, when most of the countries refused to.

Imagine what might have happened if it was the India Cricket team attacked in Pakistan, it's frightening.

This is the terrorists telling everbody Swat was a beginning, and Pakistan is under siege and being won by them.

Just yesterday I told my wife not to be surprised if we woke up to hear about attacks in Lahore, Karachi or Rawalpindi. (Or that one of these cities had been taken over. There is a conversation going on about this in the Pakistan thread in Masala Chai)

PS: TV says some Sri Lankan players were injured, but only one was hit by a bullet

True that.

I think the plan to carry out a terrorist attack was set up long time ago, when India made their intentions clear of touring Pakistan during this exact time. Once 26/11 happened, and India pulled out and the Lankans went in, the terrorists probably thought "Fuck it, we'll do something anyway!".

After this attack, I really feel for the majority, peace loving Pakistanis would just wanted to watch a game of cricket, and are sick to death of these Islamic fundamentalists.

Now it's crystal clear that Pakistan government has no control over terrorists / talibans.
