After Yesterday's Thrashing of Bangladesh,Lanka has made India's path a bit more easier. They need to beat Lanka and Bangladesh's match against Bermuda maybe inconsequential as thier Net Run rate would have taken a severe pounding yesterday.
I Maybe jumping the Gun here as India need to WIN for all these permutations to come into the Picture. |

The "pop stars" of the Indian cricket world have to place their hearts on show for the public.
We need to see the metal. The cricket born of the palm bough bat a knobbly pitch and the usual distractions of trucks, rickshaws, cows........, The energy of a nation of cricket players! For all the dads on the "maidens" in Delhi, the kids hitting sixes on the terraces of the Himalaya, within the confines of a small back street, all ages versus all ages. A nation glued to their sets on Friday HOPING India shows the world THEIR cricket!! India Zindebad Mahud On any other occasion................... If things turn out different I'll support Bangla! Until then C'Mon India |

What I hate most when India plays (no matter against who) is my hubby sitting with a face as if someone's forcing live snakes into his mouth and repeating "They're gonna lose! They're gonna lose!" And when a wicket falls "There was no need to hit! There was no need!"
Uh, the fans! ![]() |

Damn!!! Rs 5 'wasted' ......yet again!!!
My Dad has this practice of breaking a coconut and putting incense sticks in front of the television before the inauguration of the World Cups. Later distributing coconut pieces with sugar to the Indian fans present at this special All-The-Best-India-Ceremony done every 4 years. Following last night's match I hope the fans in India did not come out yelling and going awry on the streets at this dismal defeat from the Lankans. And it is probably the board exams going on or nearing now in Maharashtra and some student-fans would certainly waste a couple of hours thinking of the loss! Pity!! Am sure the security at the airports in India must be tightened up whenever these Cricketing heros land. And taken care that they reach their homes safely in bullet-proof vehicles from the airport by taking some back door. Sorry guys! I hope you are resilient enough to not waste a wonderful weekend over whatever happened last night. Is the Indian coach safe and in good health? and btw fans please encourage the Indian team by NOT SAYING "Come ON India" specially when you are in India... the guys seem to take it literally and they actually 'come' back home. |

OK...my next favourite team is bangladesh. They deserve the next stage's place for thrashing India black and blue.
