Hey, my (our) cultural baggage is pretty ancient, and includes a remarkable amalgamation of all other cultures in a equally remarkable non violent manner ![]() Are we offtopic yet?

I guess I am out of this thread now. My attempts to get any answers have failed and have not got any satisfactory response, only heard some trumpets about "other cultures" and "mature logic"...which I am not interested in !!

Sorry to butt into this interesting discussion, which I have been following, but you might like to read this link about the Dalai Lama :
http://spacebar.blogsome.com/2005/07...s-and-airguns/ the Dalai Lama, chocolate chip cookies, and airguns July 22, 2005 In a new book written by his friend, it seems the Dalai Lama is quite fond of those cookies. He fires the airgun to scare off the hawks who might menace the little birds he feeds. Last edited by theyyamdancer : Aug 13th, 2008 at 15:43. Reason: added some text from the link |

Oh no, TheyyamDancer, you're hardly butting in! It's always nice to have a good conversation, with varying points of view.
Since you've been following this, I'm rather curious to know what you think, you see! Now, if someone from the NRA could peep in here, wouldn't that be interesting?! I've noticed the OP is not here anymore, but that's what makes the thread even more varied and rich. btw, your user name is very pretty

In light of the "Cute Witch" post on IM today - shall we just say I am a gay man trans gendered into a hijra, cross dressed as a Miss World, clutching his Miss World Peace tiara and singing songs from Pricilla, Queen of the Desert?!
Seriously: It would be nice to see fresh new thoughts on this topic ( guns and India) while I go fix my mascara ![]() |

Im very happy with the fact that buying a gun here is not as easy as it is in the States for example, where i believe you can buy it off the net...not only that one can get assault rifles as well..
Whether it is because of the bureaucracy or the process , im glad for both..the more guns that are out there , the more stupid stories one will hear... |
