Formula one - This season's predictions
Lewis Hamilton is having a Dream Debut and has three consecutive Podium finishes ,something which even the Great Senna and Schumacher could not achieve. Still , Alonso is going strong and so are Massa and Kimi. This season has showed an early Promise to be one worth remembering for some time to come.
Any Predictions on who the eventual winner is? I would bet on the Spaniard Alonso , He is the top driver in his generation and looks set to complete a Three-peat. P.s. Maybe the Mods can , in the future, think about making some of these threads sticky's(hope i got the correct term). It would be great if we can have a Tennis thread , Swimming , Basketball and Formula one as , we can post in the same thread rather than opening new thread for every major tournament. |

If so, then what is the Point in opening a forum for sports?I don't recall reading anywhere about an India related sports forum on this website where threads on sports need to be related to India.
Also, Pray do tell me why this thread has been moved to the off-topic area?I posted it in the sports forum which is the appropriate area. |

Hmm. Please bear with me.
Us mods regularly notice recurrent patterns in certain questions. So we discuss possible new sub-forums. One of those was Sports. To cover questions along the lines of Where do I get cricket tickets, What about scuba diving, Where do I find a decent pool, Where to watch a soccer match in India, etc. So (or the way I see it) this is how this sub-forum was opened. Some members dove right in -- predictably I guess in hindsight -- with their personal favorite games in location X. To cut down on this, we're moving some stuff that isn't obviously taking place in India, or has a major Indian sports stake, to Off-Topic. If you think this thread falls short of that, i.e. is directly related to Sports & India (& preferably Travel), just let us know. As for it being directly related to India (or Indian travel), that's the whole purpose of the site right. Thanks for your diligence ![]() |

The intro for the sports forum goes like this........
Cricket, Football, Badminton, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho Kho.... whatever your sport is, this is the place to discuss it. Do change the intro for this as it says one can discuss any sport. It says nothing about queries about cricket tickets or scuba diving. Thanks for your considerate reply. |
