Euro 2008

Hi all !

I am starting this thread in order to exchange information on public viewing places (any location in India) and your experiences there.

After World Cup or equal to it I like viewing Euro Cup as it showcases world's best talents(not arguing about South America!)

The game is one thing and the experience of socially or privately watching it is another; So from that point of view lets share experiences good , bad or ugly.

Yesterdays game (Holland vs Italy) was a banger and I could see traces of brilliance in the Holland game as it was in the days of Van Basten,Rudd Gulitt,Frank Reigaard.

Some would equate it to the days of Johan Cryuff! Lets see.

I would say that Euros are much more interesting than the world cup, lots of strong teams here and if one Includes Arg and Brazil, this is as good as a world cup.

The Dutch gave a free lesson to the Italians on how to play 'counter-attacking' football. I would love to see a Germany-Netherlands final.

Lets wait and watch how things progress. Some of the East European teams are also a treat to watch like Croatia and Czech Republic.

Does anyone watch the matches on ESPN in India? They have both English and Hindi commentary SIMULTANEOUSLY! The result is that you can't understand anything. I watch with the volume off, which cuts the fun in half.

What the hell????

I personally like the German captain best when it comes to half pants

Are you using a settop box for reception or a dish antenna? If so then in the remote bottom portion will have either the left/right audio option or language option which when toggled can clear the problem.

The noise the commentary provides is good but sometimes distracting from the actual game!
