Delhi Goes Bersek

Yesterday was once in a lifetime day for us. We are now the World Champions. Yesterday was the first time that I decided to out and see the match at some pub/bar. As it never gets bigger than this.

Once India won the match, we decided to go to India Gate. And once we reached there it was a sight to remember. I realised what happens when a city of 20 million people goes in Party Mode.

The entire Rajpath was Choked by people, cars, bikes. People opened up their cars for music to blare, Dhol-wallahs were going crazy, firecrackers, whistles, horns, bullet was brought to good use with its backfires.

I don't have words to explain those scenes, it was something that Delhi had never seen before, and no one knows, if ever would be able to see again.

So Guys, what about your cities ?? what was the celebration like..??

I remember when it was announced that Sydney had won the Olympics bid - that was pretty exciting, but not like you describe above. What fun - you'll always remember it!
