Cricket match in India? Anyone?
hello hello,
India are playing Sri Lanka in cricket at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. I would love to see cricket in India as I'm sure it would be completely insane! Does anyone know the best way to go about getting tickets? I've googled it & I'm not coming up with much at all. Has anyone been to a cricket match in India? How was it? Do you reckon you could get tickets of a tout on the day of the game? Cheers ears, Kimbo |

First of all, let the itinerary be announced, then go to that stadium. Talk to the watchman.. assure him a good tip and he'll get you the tickets
![]() Otherwise wait for the public announcement of the ticket availability. |

india are playing South africa on nov 17 in mumbai,
i am suppose to book a ticket for a Imer from states. i guess there will be a never ending queue on the day of sale of tickets and it will be sold out within hours of opening, i am planning to employ someone to get it. there would defintely be touts on the day of match as indians have good business sense, but the price will be 10 times more. lets see if i manage.

Like Mite said (who is being a tremendous help for me in this), you can procure tickets if you "know" someone or try to seek out a tout.
Cricket matches in India are AMAZING! I went to the NZ/Ind ODI in Chennai two years ago. Although it was rained out, the 25 overs I did get to say were deafening and exciting! This is definitely a must if you have the chance.. |

Hello, I would like to introduce myself - I am captain of a very unsuccessful veterans cricket team made up of injured, out-of-form and generally deflated cricketers.
I was wondering if there are any nunneries, blind schools, junior teams or Brazilian canoeists who would fancy a game against us sometime. Yours sincerely Ricky Ponting

I went to see India v Pakistan in Bangalore earlier this year.I went down to the stadium the day before the match started and managed to get tickets for the first and last day(thursday and monday).
The atmosphere was amazing and I'm hoping to go again next year when England are touring India which I think is in April. |

Thanks to the Ashes and Saurav Ganguly's piss-off, cricket started to interest me once again. So I purchased the EA Cricket 2005 game.
I am having a tough time playing even 10 overs exhibition matches. I selected Australia and India and opted to play India with Aus handled by my computer. I opted India top bowl first. Results: 10 overs: Australia: 170 for 2. India: 2 runs all out. Both runs came off the pads. After a long session at the nets (training on batting an bowling), I played Australia vs Zimbabwe for 10 overs and selected Australia. Zim batted first. Results: Zimbabwe: 50/3 in 10 overs. Australia: 7 runs all out (4 wides and 3 leg byes). Finally I tried NSW vs Australia 'A'. NSW: 9/7 in 10 overs (7 came off pads, 2 were from my first genuine shot ever in the game, 1 wide). Australia 'A': 14 runs off 2.1 overs for loss of 1 wicket. Ridiculous game! Should have bought Brian Lara's Cricket instead!

rangss... i had purchased an earlier version of this game ( cricket 2002 ) last year - i must agree with you, it is quite frustrating! I started off with the kind of scores you mentioned, but improved over a period of time to be somewhat competitive. then i sort of lost interest and stopped playing. Bowling is comparatively easy though. But anyway, it is not as bad as you think (now). you will enjoy it a bit more once you learn to hit those boundaries. cuts and pulls come more easily over a period of time. |
