cricket in america?

what do we think about this? will it further the support of cricket? or just make lots of money for the cricket board?

i do not understand what you mean by further the support of cricket. the subcontinental people in the States are going to remain cricket crazy irrespective of these matches being held there. of course, they will love to go to these matches and appreciate the efforts of playing there.

on the other hand, if we are talking of developing cricket in the states as a nation and getting a good US team; a very different approach would be required.

i'm not really up to date on the level of support for cricket in america and the other places. i just thought it was an interesting article because cricket only ever seems to be played in the team's home countries and wondered what others thought. and yes, if you were a cricket mad indian in america i imagine it would be great to go along to a match. nothing like watching your team play in your home.

Earlier it was rumoured that the USA will host a couple of games from the 2007 Cricket World Cup to be held in the West Indies, but the schedule does not reflect the same.

There was talk about organizing some world cup games in Florida earlier..but the plans havent worked out. The Cricket Association in the US does not get along with the ICC..and thats where it all begins and ends..
