England to crash out in the qualifying rounds...

Australia, India, Sri Lanka & New Zealand to make the semis

feel India have gone off the boil since the England spring tour so the final will be between

Australia and Sri Lanka

& if SL show the form they did in England this summer they'll beat the Aussies....

peace & love

Great start for India.....

.....steamrollered England today, altho' another 50 runs for England might have made a game of it....still, always humiliating not batting out your 50 overs...

peace & love

That was a pitiful performance by England and scarily so close to our game here in Adelaide on the 1st December.

Anyone want my ticket? (only kidding!)

Haha. England are a sporting mystery! They win the rugby union world cup, and then they just plummet, they win the Ashes, and they never get their form back again, they still maintain to choke in the soccer, and they are non-performers in rugby league.

It wasn't the greatest win by the Indians, but a win's a win! I don't think the Aussies will win in India. But I do see them in the final with India.

...always upsets me when cricketers get caught with banned substances.....none of them can make you a better player (and both Akthar & Asif are lovely bowlers)....in cricket they're just a short cut to stamina & fitness..... lazy lazy lazy ....

....as for the cricket the Kiwis have rolled the Saffers over at the glorious Brabourne Stadium, which is making my prediction for the semis (above) look good....

peace & love

The Times of India has an article on Brabourne Stadium if you are interested

Cricket returns to the Rich Man's Club
Nilanjana Sengupta
[ 8 Oct, 2006 0027hrs ISTTIMES NEWS NETWORK ]

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/a...96,curpg-1.cms

In the beginning, there was no Wankhede stadium. Being a cricket spectator did not feel like being in a Virar fast. Oranges were allowed. Water bottles and other missiles too. Toilets were many. Bladders were not controlled through meditative powers or released suddenly at the stroke of a sudden six.

In the beginning, there was Brabourne. A battle between what was then the Bombay Cricket Association (BCA) and the affluent Cricket Club of India (CCI), created the need for Wankhede, and with that cricket vanished from CCI's beloved Brabourne. .............................. ..........

nice one greenchutney....spent a very pleasant afternoon at the Brabourne in March watching an England 'Barmy Army' team play a CCI XI...then spent the next 5 days in the Wankhede watching England beat India...thought the Wankhede was a fantastic gladiatorial arena, with the noise of the crowds reflecting back and reverberating off the corrugated iron roof...imagined it couldn't get any louder, but it did....my daughter's favourite moment was when Munaf Patel caught Flintoff on the boundary - enormous roar, followed by an equally enormous groan then awesome silence - Flintoff had hit the ball so hard that Munaf was knocked back over the boundary NOT OUT! SIX!

Way-O Way-O Monty is Punjabi!

peace & love
