Anyone for cricket?

Hi all,
Does anybody have the inside track
on when and how to get tickets for
the India-Aus test series or one day matches..
will it be possible or not?
will I have to sell a kidney to afford it?
Thanks

In fact I don't know much about it at all.
Just that I reckon it'd be great to see.

depends on where you are selling your kidney. you don't get much for it in India.

I wanted to help you to find out how to get tickets... but I can't if you don't give me When and Where information.

They'll be hard to find!

Well it's like this can you get a ticket for a Australia v New Zealand rugby match?
Are there many tickets left over for the Ireland v England football/rugby match?

I'm not being narky it's just you'll face a similar fight for tickets as the aforementioned "grudge" ties.
Especially after India coming of age in the last series in Australia, the crowd can't wait to get them on their home wicket! (remember the last time???)
So as you can see getting a ticket may prove difficult, no problem though join the crowd in any chai stand-restaurant-shop that has a TV and cheer on India,a great way to spend a afternoon.
Boy Indians love to party.

Ooops.
didn't mean to be so very vague V V
but it's about all I know...which I suppose
reveals me as not a cricket fanatic...
but still I reckon it'd be a great event.
I suppose watching it in a chai shop
could be cool.
have searched for info on this net thing
but without luck, let's hope I have more
when looking for a ticket...seems to be
needed.

ps Albaruni, praps you're right, I should sell it here
b4 I leave. thanks for the tip

I was in India when the Indians came back from a near impossible deficit to beat England ...Magic ...It was one big party and once they realised I was Scottish they made me an honourary Indian supporter for the day

We are brought up to have an inate hatred of cricket when in actual fact the more i watch the more i love the game ...

Come on India ...

Does anyone know when the next world cup happens and where?

It seems that the dates for the series have yet to be set.
Also there will be no one-day matches. unfortunately.

Hello 1worldinacave
We are going to attend some of the Aus v Indai tests so if you are too we will see you there! (as well s 40,000 others)
but the locations have not been released yet,
and let me tell you that is making planning the trip very difficult!
The only definite infromation they have released are the dates which are
1st test 6 Oct-10 Oct
2nd test 14-18 Oct
3rd test 26-30 Oct
4th test 3 Nov-7 Nov
The possible venues are Mumbai (all of the prevoius tours have started here) and/or Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore, Nagpur, Chandigar, Chennai or Hyderabad
here is a site who will be selling tickets until sept 3
www.wavingtheflag.com/tourinfo.asp?TourID=11
I hope this is helpful.

hey, this is my first post.
good luck liitle message, fly to your target and do your work

Thumbs up

Welcome to Indiamike Bexta!
I'm sure you're gonna find it very
handy in any planning you do before
heading away.

Had a look at that site, seems that I'd
be cheering for the Aussies if I booked it
this way
don't know if i could be doing that

there's fair enough prices on this site.
recommend it for anyone not on a
shoestring budget.

Slainte

ps Hash, I'll let you know about that kidney
after a couple of months of touring. we'll
see what state my budget and my kidney is in then
