India did really well knocking out Australia as did Pakistan beating New Zealand, looks like we're in for a great final on tuesday.......Go India!!!

Well the excitement has reached another level today, media has gone crazy, people are not willing to work, phones are simply not ringing ..
Indian fans have converged on Jo'berg, Movie stars, industry leaders, politicians...including Super star Shahrukh Khan, Kingfisher tycoon Vijay Mallaya, Board president Sharad Pawar everyone is there... The Indian Cricket board announced a million dollar prize for the semifinal victory itself.. And as per the reports, more than US $ 1.25 Billion are riding on this match in forms of bets... There are very few events in world sports, that have the capacity to get bigger than this..I am not sure about the seating capacity of this stadium, but even if it was staged in a bigger Stadium with capacity of more that 100,000 people, then also it would have been sold out several times... |

Well.. I wept when Oz &NZ got beaten.. BUT. now I am enthusiastic for INDIA!!!!! Mr K and I are off to a birthday dinner tonight but it doesn't start till after the Final finishes - even out here EVERYONE is barracking for India.
I confess, dare I say, I cannot watch cricket on TV, find it too boring (sorry guys!)swimming, surfing, surfboard riding and snow skiing used to be my sports, but I become very interested when any of my home countries reach finals!

I don't know about the media, but Shashank, you do sound EXCITED!! Well... India-Pak cricket has that aura around, so don't blame you!...Keeping my fingers, toes, eyes...everything crossed for India's victory in todays match...Do I sound like fanatic, eh?
