I wrote a very long answer to your question, which the computer just ate. I will sent an other tomorrow, mean while check out www.dhamma.org/ for more info. It is a life changing event, with NO money asked for at any point. To be a Vipassana mediator is to see things as they really are. Only your experience can & should be accepted as the truth.
I have to go sit for a hour as part of my tradition,
Gregor

Thanks for the link, i have checked out the Videos of Mr. Goenka. The concept is simple and it is wonderful.

I guess, as you said, its only has to be experienced. SO would love to hear the experiences of some of our IMers about Vipassana.

thanks

from Vipassana Newsletter

This this will give more info on Italy vipassana center

NEW VIPASSANA CENTER IN ITALY

After eight years in a rented site, the Italian Trust has found a permanent location for the Italian Vipassana Center, currently named Dhamma Atala. The new location is in the hills of Tuscany, in the province of Florence. The site is very quiet and green, yet easily accessible by public transportation

On the property there is a large villa with another smaller building nearby, all surrounded by a beautiful park 8,000 square meters in size. The park is itself surrounded by 20 hectares of agricultural land, on which there are two old, traditional farmhouses. There is excellent potential for future expansion at the site.

The Italian Trust has started negotiations to purchase the property. If all proceeds according to plan, the Trust expects to start holding courses at the new center by the summer of 2007. The purchase price is 1 million. The cost of restoring and upgrading the buildings and property is estimated to be an additional 1 million.

For more information on the development of the site or to offer financial support, contact servizio@vipassana.it.

For updates on the progress of the purchase and the move to the new Center, visit www.atala.dhamma.org/newcenter

be happy, gregor
