Is Uttarkashi still a quiet spiritual place or is it now a crowded tourist/trek spot?

Is Uttarkashi still a quiet spiritual place or is it now a crowded tourist/trek spot?

Hi Friends, Is Uttarkashi still a quiet spiritual place or has it now become a crowded tourist / trekking spot?

I am planning to go in mid June for around 2 weeks. Is it worth a visit?

I know it is better to go further upwards towards Gangotri but due do health reasons I can't tolerate much cold. And Gangotri would be cold even now.

I shall be obliged for any input. Thanks in advance.

Thanks KK.

I would say I am happy with my 'restless' self as it has helped me tremendously with my spiritual self-inquiry.

Yatra season on the main drags is not quiet, yet you don't have to go far from the highway to find lovely spots.

Yes, through to October, it eases off during monsoon in July, when roads are liable to landslide blockages.
