Okay, my opinion was "literally unbelievable" before I even read this latest contribution, now I know it's a wind up...

I've worked in customer service so I know that almost anything is possible in terms of human stupidity but no real person could be this dense...at least I sure hope not.

Thumbs down definitely a wind-up

Feeling foolish but it's all part of the IM experience! Plus, we get to hone our travel advice skills. Even if it sometimes blows up in our faces!

Heyy, unless caught early it can get much worse ! People just feel foolish now; guess what happens when these things end up in an "internet death" - there's all the grieving, online memorials, sad tons of emails to sock-puppet mom, sis or some such... the cycle restarts with sock-puppet mom or sis and thennnnn.. somebody goes to visit the actual physical grave and guess what ? No grave.

Quite. Then its no longer funny.

I definitely wasn't punk'd ( see next post). Been in this 'net biz for 30 years. It was mildly amusing until this car-jacking/kidnapping stuff came along - that's a dangerous escalation of the game based on the patterns I know so I thought, wtf, its snowing, very pretty out here in Boulder ( that's a checkable fact!) lets see how much elasticity there is here. I could STILL be wrong of course.

....ok, maybe in this season of "punkins" we may all have been "punk'd"????? I bit the bait too, and all I can add is "with friends like that, who needs enemas???" (...and if this does turn out to be real then I apologize in advance for being snarky!) I am also in "customer service" so not much surprises me anymore.....but still....this does stretch one's limits....at least it's been entertaining.....

what has happened to indiamike? cheryl came here asking for information about becoming a nun, and was content to stay on topic. then she was set upon for being naive. she gave some of her history to assure she wasn't being taken. now she is being treated as though she is a liar who must clear her name. i don't know cheryl but i would say the way she engages people is a notch above some of the older posters here.

Aspirin and alka-seltzer.

Right, good idea. Not available on the ground either by any means, of course. (It's, er, quite the headache to the average Indian shall we say.)

You know what: Go have a swell trip.
thanks for the blessing
people who don't live in America don't know how it is. there's so much to enable us here if I was so naive then I would surely keep chasing the American dream, in a country that's fun to be young and dumb in. the laws are not strict here the only crime that could get you life is murder and most people get out on parole for murder. carjacking and kidnapping my guess probably end up only serving a couple of years. My uncle robed 5 banks and was caught. he is free. they give a slap on the wrist

It may surprise you to hear quite a number of the folks talking to you on this thread do actually live in the USA. And know India.

Quite insane, indeed. Er, Cheryl, when I invited you to tell us a little bit about yourself, that wasn't an open invitation to impress us with who has the bigger willy on how tough a life we've all had.

I'm not doubting your willingness to pursue what you're after (still assuming you were indeed real; like some others, I've developed some strong doubts about that); all we've been commenting on is how to practically fill it in. Y'r average immigrations officer won't care very much at all about your personal make-up, nor typically have the time to hear it. (Well, I suppose some criminal antecedents even by way of family history might interest them.)
