Exclamation Wild animals

I will be in Sikkim for a month, sept-oct and just realised that there are wild animals in Sikkim such as snow leopard, clouded leopard, black bear, wild dog, Tibetan wolf, jungle cat and civet cat. During my time there i intend to do a lot of day treks, so i am asking if i am likely to encounter any of these animals and if so which ones are dangerous and what should i do if one approaches me.

All depends on where you would be trekking. Animals usually stay away from treks where people frequent, so no need to bother. Stick to usual routes and avoid moving out in dark if you are worried about wild animals.

Btw, if you spot and click some like snow leopard, you would be a wildlife celebrity
Sometimes, the joy that the Daybreak brings, is unparalleled!

Holy Moly!! Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! We are doing Dzongri to Goecha La. I had no idea there'd be so much wildlife. Egads, I'll never sleep. Any hints? Apparently we'll have a guide and a yak. Are Himalayan bears afraid of yaks?
