Taxi from Bagdogra to Gangtok

Hello

I have planned to go to Sikkim in Feb. I will reach Bagdogra airport and from there will move to Gangtok. Do I need to pre-book a taxi or are there available on the spot ? Also what will be the cost for a descent non-AC taxi ?

Hi Abhi,

You can get the taxi on spot. It will cost you between 1300-1600. I got Wagon R for 1300 for NJP to Gangtok. Govt rate is around 1500.

we have just came back from sikkim trip...from bagdogra to gangtok it will cost u 1500-16000...per paid counter r their on the airport....

We took a cab from Bagdogra airport to Gangtok. There is a prepaid taxi counter at the airport. they charge was Rs. 1500. Another option was to fly to gangtok in a helicopter ... but it is a option only if you reach bagdogra before the afternooon ... it costs Rs. 2000 per person.

hi shyam i will reach new jalpaiguri on 26th dec morning and need a taxi for gangtok. Do you have contact number of wagon -R driver?

Thanks sgupta. Pre-paid counter is really good. I am scheduled to reach after 1 PM.. so chopper might not be possible.. though would had loved it.
