Hello everyone,

I am planning a trip to Sikkim on the 16th of June. Unfortunately I do not have the luxury of time and can only spend a maximum of 7-8 days in Sikkim.

I intend to hire a private car from Siriguli to Yuksom. From Yuksom, I will hire a potter and guide for my hike to Dzongri Top.

How much time will it take for me to reach Dzongri Top from Yuksom? Am I able to include Goecha La with my current schedule?

Does a normal ILP allow me into Goecha La?

Can someone advise an estimate budget for the potter and guides?

Will I be able to rent the necessary gear in Yuksom, i.e. winter clothing, tents, sleeping bags, stoves?

Should I expect heavy rainfall during my travel period?

I would really appreciate your pointers.

hi victor,

i am also planning for 14th june -21st june in Sikkim. Let me know if you got any number for travel agents or for arranging private vehicle. I heard that you cant take vehicle to north sikim and have to take permission.
