Amit,

Good and comfortable itinerary..

However, with some tweaking I would be tempted do less of Gangtok and try and cover West Sikkim as well........Pelling et al.

Also, if you can add in a day or so, it might help you in this regard.

Cheers

We had done it last time with sonam palgey. Do a google and you should get their website.

I need to search out my archive to locate the details. Will try for it though.

Cheers

Hey Amit
I am doing the same trip on the 1st week of December. I've been to Gangtok several times hence wouldn't be doing the Changu lake and Tukula point. Try the Mintokling Guest House at gangtok. Nice and neat. Check their site. I'll finish off the trip with a few days at Darjeeling.
best wishes

As far as I know, Dec 2nd week is not high season and you should be able to get good deals.....

How many of you are there ? And what type of vehicle is being offered in the package ? What all does the package include ?

If you can let know, then some additional clarifications can be provided.

Consider visiting Tukla, on the way to Nathula, beyond Tsomgo.

Hey buddy ,
you have chosen the wrong time to go there.
In the month of decembor you can't go to gurudongmar lake . the roads are closed due to heavy snowfall . you can go upto lachen and lachung . and this two are small villages. You can't visit to yumthang also . usually people go lachen to stay an night on the way to gurudongmar . and lachung on the way to yumthang. You can't visit both of the places at that time.
And lachen and lachung both are very remote area . nothing is easilly avilabe.
So I thing as far as your honeymoon is concerned i don't thing north sikkim wwill be a great choice.
If you love mountains then you can visit Simla and manali.
december is a good time to visit there . and I thing you would love it . Because that is the place for honeymooners . and if you are lucky then you can enjoy snowfall while walking on simla mall road with your wife.
It feels really great.

Shimla & Manali are very common and crowded places and i'd been thr while on my Himalayan treks.
Havent been to North East & heard there are many off-beat location in Sikkim which are simply superb so planned for it.

buddy....
at first happy dewali....

If u want to go there upto gangtok its fine ...
but you have to cancel your north sikkim tour..
lachen and lachun are very remote area . and in winter these two villages will be fully empty as the people of there come to gangtok to spend the winter..

yes , you can visit Darjeeling and gangtok..
and I think these are sweet places for honeymooners..
specially gangtok...
M.G.Marg is really beautiful in night..

BUT THIS PLACES WILL BE CROWDED ALSO!!!!!!
Mall side darjeeling is good. but lower darjeeling is fully crowded and dusty...
I think you should think again dear.....

Congrats for your marriage.

Gurudongmar is beautiful but inaccessible in December. If you want to do sikkim, you can try pelling, revangala in west sikkim.
or else for honeymoon, you can possibly try out Tawang Valley (Arunachal, check threads there). It is beautiful in December. and it can be reached via flight to guwahati and then a helicopter ride. Would be a great option.
