Sikkim: Season-Offseason?

Hi All,

I want to know when in Sikkim is considered season and when off-season.Is late December onwards season time or I can avail off-season discounts?
We'll be heading for North Sikkim in late december.Can you please suggest what will be the approximate rate per head for a group of 7-8 people.We want to cover lachung,yumthang,yumesamdang and Lachen,gurudongmar in 2night 3 days trip.

off season is probably in Monsoons only..

There won't be too many visitors in late December. It will be pretty cold so take adequate warm clothings. Check out if north Sikkim can be visited in winter.

you can hire an entire for 12 to 14k .... late december thr will be snow but u can take ur shot .... even if u can't reach the destination, the journey itself will be the reward

it never hurts to ask for an off-season discount when making reservations for a hotel, however, many hotel websites identify their off-season. check a few and that will give you an idea of the extent of discounts you may be able to expect generally.

yes, lots of info in this sub-forum about costs/routes. do read a few threads with relevant titles.
