Sikkim - late March / early April
Hi
I've done a search but these months aren't covered. Is late March / early April a good time to visit the region? If the flowers are out does that make it v busy and thus make booking advisable? Best wishes Paul |

Late March early April is a great time to visit Sikkim as rhododendrons, orchids, primulas would still be in bloom. It is definitely advisable to book in advance as it would still be peak season.

I would say if you are coming from that far it is always better to book the hotels atleast. for travelling you will get enough options out in Gangtok. And the time is Suupperbbbb !! theres no question about it !!! It might be possible to get snow as well as Rhodo, primula etc etc. it the right choice of time. So dont Back off. Just step out and enjoy India. Good Luck ! robin |

Hi
Just a word for future researchers into this. I arrived in Darjeeling on March 30 and was in the area for a week or so. Views to Kanchanjunga were very poor, such that I couldn't be bothered to get up at dawn and go to Tiger Hill to see nothing. Weather was OK though, often warm. Darjeeling not that busy and plenty of hotel space. No need to book. Likewise Kalimpong, which was a great stop. Never made it to Sikkim this time. Paul |
