Sikkim Itinerary Suggestion

Hello to Everyone,

I am visiting Sikkim & Darjeeling from Sep 16th - 26th Sep. mentioned below is my itinerary....I feel i am overstaying in Darjeeling...Is there a way i can visit some other lovely place from Gangtok before reaching Darjeeling? What I mean is a place which is on the way to Darjeeling from Gangtok or a little off?

Day 01 : New Jalpaiguri – Gangtok.

Day 02 : Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake + Nathu La Pass – back to Gangtok.

Day 03 : Gangtok – Local Sight seeing

Day 04 : Gangtok -Lachen(Enroute Singhik View Point,7 Sister Waterfalls, Naga Waterfalls) – Night @ Lachen

Day 05 : Lachen -Gurudongmar lake - Thangu & Chopta Valley (night @ Lachung)

Day 06 : Lachung – Yumthang – Katoa - Zero Point
Night @ Lachung

Day 07 : Lachung back to Gangtok ( Bheema & Naga Falls)
Night @ Gangtok

Day 08 : Gangtok - Darjeeling (White Water Rafting Trip)

Day 09 : Darjeeling - sight seeing.(ANY ALTERNATIVE)

Day 10 : Darjeeling - Sightseeing(MUST REACH DARJEELING BY THIS EVENING TO BOARD TRAIN NEXT MORNING)

Day 11 : Darjeeling - NJP Toy Train Booked Already.

your plan seems to be cabon copy of my plan for proposed dec trip only in my case it is one day less.
since you have an extra one day in darjeeling, i suggest you can also make one day visit pelling(west sikkim) from gangtok, it is supoosed to offer very beatiful view of kanchanjunga.
for darjelling one day is enough ( only tiger point in early morning).
one more thing since you are reaching gangtok and immediately going for nathula, you need to take permit in advance as most bookings are done at least 2 days in advance for nathula.

No I havn't gone before. But planning in Dec.
A dear friend of mine went with family in Oct 08 and gave me feedback.
