Hi,
I am looking for some good options where I can spend about a week around mid April with family. Kids age group between 6 to 13. Nothing specific in mind as to the kind of location but would love to know if this is a good season to go to the eastern parts of India. And if so, which are the best places. ![]() Thanks in adv Last edited by machadinha : Mar 8th, 2008 at 23:50. Reason: merged threads |

Hi,
We plan to go out with another family on a 8 day's holiday during the last week of May. Our kids are in the age group of 8 to 12 years. We would love to go to Sikkim / Darjeeling / Gangtok. As none of us have ever visited this part of the country, we need some inputs - Is this a right time to go there? Any suggestions re locations / places to go, hotels. Any precautions ,considering the kids. Many thanks in advance for your guidance. Last edited by machadinha : Mar 8th, 2008 at 23:50. Reason: merged threads |

Its absolutely fine to go ahead with your tour plan. The weather will be fine. No problem with kids. Rather they will enjoy the trip. Good Luck |

Thanks Robin.
Quite a coincidence, I just finished speaking to the family I intend to go out with. We were wondering what would keep the kids busy there ? You know kids these days - natural beauty is probably just not sufficient for them. Are there any attractions like short treks which the kids could take, hotels with some in-house activities etc ? Many tks for your response - this was my first post and did not see any response till yesterday late night - thought what a disappointment ! ![]() |

sameer your first post says mid April and second post says end May. Mid April is good time for Sikkim but end May is not that good as there will be rains.
In house activities at hotels will sadly be confined to cable TV at the most. Short treks are plenty though. |
